Different goals, different hour requirements, different batch options. French A1 for tourist visa, B1 for Canada PR points, B2 for a French Masters. Talk to our French desk for a number that matches what you actually need, plus exam-fee details and the latest batch calendar.

🎁 Free for Cokonet Overseas students. If you sign up for an overseas placement with Cokonet, French coaching to the level your destination requires is bundled into your package.
FAQ

Common questions Kerala students ask.

How long does A1 to B1 take for French?+
5 to 7 months at a consistent 6-8 hours per week. Slightly faster than German because French shares more cognates with English. Slower than Spanish or Italian for English speakers. Daily practice matters more than total hours.
Do I need French for English-taught French Masters?+
Yes, almost always at least A2 to B1. French universities expect international students to integrate into local life, which requires basic French. Some Grande Écoles waive this; most don't.
What is DELF vs DALF?+
DELF (Diplome d'Études en Langue Française) covers A1 to B2. DALF (Diplome Approfondi de Langue Française) covers C1 and C2. Both are government-issued certifications, recognised globally. Universities and visa offices accept both.
Can I use French for Canada migration?+
Yes. Canada's Express Entry awards extra points for French proficiency on top of English. Quebec has its own French-language migration stream (PEQ / Arrima) with faster processing if you reach B2 or above.
Is French harder than German for Kerala students?+
Different challenges. French has more silent letters and complex pronunciation rules. German has more grammar (gender, case system) but cleaner pronunciation. Most Kerala students find French easier to start (familiar Latin script and some vocabulary) but harder to master.
