Most universities accept direct online applications. Ontario universities use OUAC (centralised portal). SOP, transcripts, LOR coordination. Most students receive 3 to 6 offers.
Open a Canadian GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate, CAD 20,635 deposit for 2026) at SBI Canada, ICICI Canada, or Scotiabank, and pay first-semester tuition. The GIC is one of the most important financial documents for the study permit: it demonstrates proof of funds clearly and increases approval chances, so we treat it as a required part of every regular-stream file.
Regular stream study permit application (SDS was closed by IRCC on 8 November 2024 — all Kerala files now go through the regular stream). Strong files include IELTS 6.5+, GIC paid, full first-year tuition paid, and a tight SOP. Medical exam at panel doctor. Biometrics at VFS in Bengaluru, Chennai, or Kochi.
